Event Brief

Procam International’s Tata Mumbai Marathon is Asia’s premier mass-participation event, annually drawing tens of thousands across multiple categories. The 19th edition in 2024 included a full marathon, half-marathon, 10K, Dream Run, Senior Citizen run, and Champions with Disability—bringing together approximately 59,000 participants to celebrate fitness, philanthropy, and community spirit.

Execution

Essence Transmedia was responsible for the full-scale production of the official launch events in both 2023 (for the 2024 marathon edition) and 2024 (for the 2025 edition). The team curated solemn yet celebratory gatherings at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai, ensuring media appeal, dignitary involvement, and pre-event buzz. Their scope included securing the Governor of Maharashtra as the chief dignitary, executing formal flag-offs, and managing high-profile attendees—ensuring seamless coordination with civic authorities, broadcast partners, and sponsors.

In August 2023, Essence orchestrated the launch ceremony for the 2024 edition. Grounded in visual storytelling, the event opened registrations with Governor Ramesh Bais signing up as the first participant—captured against the grand backdrop of Raj Bhavan’s Darbar Hall. The design and flow echoed inclusivity, sustainability (“Green Bib” initiative), and resilience. In 2024, they managed the 2025 launch with similar precision—a dignified announcement reportedly at a high-profile venue, escorted registrations, and on-point media management.

Beyond the print and broadcast coordination, Essence handled branding installations, stage design, registration booths, dignitary escort, guest flow, and sponsor messaging (TCS, IDFC FIRST Bank, ASICS, Bisleri, Club Vistara, Adhata, etc.).
